I am a professional Video/Film editor, but I’m just starting out doing contract work, and I’m unsure whether it’d be cheaper for me to form a company via LLC or INC and file taxes as a business (which would allow me to do business expenses,etc, or to stay an independent contractor having to deduct my own income and SS taxes and all of that jazz. Business law students, lawyers, tax professionals, people in the know, please respond

You really don’t even have a glimmer of a clue, do you?

Find a CPA and pay her to educate you.

Do a google search of:

“difference between LLC and S Corp”

That will help to start your education.
