Why the cable companies charge us for channels at that we never watch?

Question by J A V L: Why the cable companies charge us for channels at that we never watch?

I have Directv and in my plan come 36 channels xm (for listen music) and I never use them. They are like 500 channels in whole of which alone I use approximately 30 but have to pay all. If I change of plan, there do not come the channels at that I look with that I have now. The companies force us to pay for many channels that we never watch and I would like that it was changing.

It is not just that we are paying for these channels at that we never watch. They have to of giving us the opportunity to choose the channels that we like and to pay only for this. You are reading that you understand (I don’t know much english but you understand) and I want that please you publish this message where you should think that it could expand or that you should send it to your contacts.
It is necessary to make us listen.
This is not just.

It’s called marketing. When you buy a package it’s hard to tell for sure what any part is costing you. Cable companies and satellite companies both do this. There has been some talk in Congress about making ala carte channel selection availabe so you just pay for what you want. So far the companies have been able to prevent it. They claim it would limit choice. What it would limit is the home shopping networks that would never be paid for an a channel by channel basis, but this would limit the profits for the both the shopping channels and the cable and satellite companies.
