Question by thafreeza: Why is it so hard to get good distribution in the music industry independent of signing with a record company?
With all the shiping technology available to the public, why do the record companies, who by the way use the same carriers(UPS/FEDEX?ect..) have so much more success.

it’s more about inventory. your independent label may not have the money to produce enough records for a place like Best Buy to stock the album nation wide, maybe only in a few local stores. The shipping part isn’t a problem. I by music from local bands all over the country via their websites.
