There are so many music videos that have so much sexual content and I’ve heard that singers do this to help make their music sell. So my question is, how come sex sells?

the term “sex sells” not only refers to sexual content, but the appeal of the product, or in this case, the artists/singers
sex sells because when most people see something attractive, they’ll mindlessly go after it. and these mindless people will buy into it, therefore it sells.
would guys bother to watch transformers 2 if megan fox wasn’t in the sequel?
would disney manufacture a pop star who was overweight?
