Why do we have to work under the White Man? Many of these black artists belong to a white man’s record label and fail to see the problem. I don’t think it’s fair that we don’t have alternatives in the music industry. I want to get into the music biz, but it seems that we are forced to sign the white man’s contract. Why isn’t there any minority-owned record labels for us? I have written a ton of songs. It would not be fair that I would have to hand them over to the “Man.” It seems to be all about making money for the white man. I’m not trying to be discriminatory. I’m just looking for opinions here. Shouldn’t there be choices?
These record labels never play fair and always screw people, especially if you are in the minority.
