What’s the best course?

Question by rex: What’s the best course?
I’m about to graduate next year, and up to now, I’m just not really sure what I want. Basically, I think there are just two courses for me: liberal arts or management. I know that if you’re a writer, philosopher, artist, musician, etc., you aren’t really gonna earn much money but at least you do what you want. In management, though, it’s more on the safe side since more often than not, businesses are more successful than their arts counterparts. I like finances and stuff, but I think I’m just more interested in music. I’m really confused on which to take: liberal arts (doing what I want, less money) or management (doing what is just “okay” for me, more money). I don’t mean to be biased, but I just think that businessman earn more money than arts professions. I would also be grateful if you guys can also tell me what university I should attend to (based on my preferences). :))

why not try to do a double degree incorporating arts and management.
do u live in melbourne by any chance? if so, try out monash university, they have really good double degrees. i’m in a similar situation to you…initially i just wanted to do arts, because i was all like screw the world, i want to be educated about philosophy, despite the possibility of unemployment in the future. but due to my parents’ persuasion i’m doing arts/law now. it isn’t so bad, because i still have arts in my life lol. but def think about doing both management/arts…because then you can do what you love whilst also securing your future. if u dnt get the marks to do a double degree, perhaps just start off with arts, then get a good average in ur first year, which should allow u to transfer into a double degree structured cousre.
