What to study to become a composer and music producer?

Question by no time left for you: What to study to become a composer and music producer?
Hey…Ok, real simple. More than a straight musician I would like to be a good composer and music producer, just like Quincy Jones or David Foster. So, Is Jazz Composition enough in order to compose many different kinds of music? Do I have to study anything like Music Engineering?? Thanks and God bless.
