What are the best colleges for music business?

Question by JulesP: What are the best colleges for music business?
I’m familiar with Drexel’s Music Industry program, however they aren’t too transfer-friendly. I’m also not very talented when it comes to playing instruments so I think that rules me out from Berklee. I’m aware of Full Sail but I live in NJ and don’t want to be too far away.

Basically, I’m wondering what schools offer the major and have a well-known, respected program. Preferrably a school that doesn’t require a portfolio.

i’m looking at colleges too, maybe for music, and i’ve been looking into belmont university in nashville, tn. well that’s pretty far from NJ, i don’t know if you want to go that far… but i’m pretty sure it has a really good music business program. also, it’s in a huge music city so that’s a plus. i know what you mean about not wanting to go far. i live in pennsylvania and i’m debating between staying close to home or going to someplace like belmont. well, we have some time to decide (if you’re a senior), so there’s no harm in applying. hope i helped!
