DL5 MY FAMILY’S BAND DL5 — BIOGRAPHY & BACKGROUND My Family’s Band now in Las Vegas: DL5 – Has existed since the 80’s with it’s title name THE POKO OKANI MANA & THE FRIENDLY ISLANDERS. It was a source of income for the family and was therefore operated as an entertainment enterprise playing in night clubs, dance halls and other high paid occasions in the Island of Tonga as well in New Zealand, and American Samoa for several years. But now a new generation of the FONUAS is taking the music to a higher level of recognition and style than the Old-Skool stuffs of the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s that we used to play. Indeed they are so successful in doing so not only in performing covered songs of any styles, but also their own originals compositions have speak for itself regarding their musicianship and talentship. True to say The DL5 BAND shows why they are one of the most exciting up and coming bands not only in Utah but also in Las Vegas at present. Their performance and ability to adapt to any kind of musical styles are a strong point. They Seamlessly fuse and netted an array of musical genres into one cohesive sound, this band truly has something for everyone.
