The Youngs and the North Star Tavern: An Ebenezer-Elma Connection
Sometime in the early 1820s, a man named Georgious Jung emigrated from Baden Wurtemburg, Germany, to the community of Langford in western New York State. Here he purchased a modest farm and, along with his wife Katherina, raised seven children. The middle child, born in 1854, was named Alexander, and about that time their name was changed to Young.

Snowy Sidewalks Draw EA Mayor’s Criticism
The snow on East Aurora’s sidewalks has Mayor Allan Kasprzak all steamed up. Village law requires commercial and residential property owners to keep sidewalks “free and clear of snow, ice and all other obstructions,” but in many areas the sidewalks are hidden and barely passable for pedestrians.
