THE VALADIERS

Here is The Valadiers performing one of my favorite early Motown tracks – I Found a girl.I think Andy Alonzo does a fantastic vocal lead on this track , well done Andy. Stuart Avig who is in the line up in the group in the video , He is an original member of the Valadiers and he informs me he still loves singing and boy can he still sing ! Today Stuart performs world wide as a member of The Shades of Blue . Talking to original Shades of Blue Nick Marinalli its nice mixing both groups songs from – Oh How Happy , to Greetings this is uncle Sam. So Sometimes they can perform as The Valadiers or The Shades of Blue if they wanted I guess it keeps the legacy of both groups going in the future. I think Ian Levine did some fantastic vocal work with Stuart Avig with tracks like ” No Competition ” and the remake of ” Whats wrong with me baby ” To Be honest These guys are the nicest I’ve ever met and now I’ve got a kind of Detroit Brother with Scott Avig the son of stuart. Once again thanks to you guys Scott , Stuart , Nick , Charlie , Andy. Stuart Avig Bio – Joined the VALADIERS in 1959, at the age of 16. Seven months later we scheduled an Appointment with Berry Gordy (President & Chairman of the board of MOTOWN RECORDS) in Detroit which even at that time was considered one of the most successful independent recording companies existing.
