Steve Maynard “Heartbreak Bigger Than Texas”

Real Country : Available on www.cdbaby Steve grew up in the small town of Leander Tx. just outside of Austin. Being one of twelve children, most who were musically talented Steve was playing the piano by age 9 and the guitar by age 16. By the time Steve hit his twenties he had a lot of honkytonk experience behind his belt and started perueing a record deal in Nasville. Steve signed to Polygram Records in 1994 and by 1998 Steve, with limtited success, was deamed too traditional to market in such a contemporary country market. Steve signed with Sony records for about 2 years,with once again limtied success. After 2 major record deals and 3 major publishing contracts, along with production and management deals, Steve was ready to call it quits. That did not last long and Steve was back in Texas recording new cd projects and once again having fun doing what he was borned to do, SING! Steve now is writing for his Own publishing company and working 5 shows a week in San Antonio Tx. at the newly restored Aztec theater. The classic country show allows Steve to sing what he loves while working on new music to release in Texas.
