Hi. Please read the whole thing it means a lot to me. Let me start out to introduce myself.
I’m a 16 year old Junior in High School taking several AP classes. My GPA is somewhat above average (high 3ish….) and my ACT is 30.
My parents always ask me what I want to do in life. They want me to attend a good college and live a successful life.

Now, when I was 4 years old, for about 9 years I played the piano classically. I have won many competitions and amazed many people. I sort have lost interest playing it though since it took lots of practice and I haven’t touched a piano key for a while.

I have a interest in dubstep/glitch/electronic/hiphop/all genres of music. I really enjoy listening to edIT and Nosaj Thing. I have just received a brand new iMac for my birthday and was thinking of getting Ableton Live. I have ZERO experience in this, but i figured if I could start off? I can see that probably many people aspire to become producers already, and was wondering if whether I’m just wasting my time. I heard that having good piano skills are good though.

What do you guys think? I used to be kind of ambitiousless, but this has really caught my attention.

You gotta think to yourself for a moment. Do you want to do this for the rest of your life? Think about this carefully and if you can say Yes with confidence then you should go ahead. Its a lot better to do something you like to do for a living.

And if you want to start getting a little more attention or if you want public opinion on any music you produce you should upload them to Youtube. Youtube has made many music producers pretty famous like KurtHugoSchenider
