except the obvious ones, like knowing how to play a couple instruments and having knowledge of music itself. I’m thinking about interviewing for this job as a booking manager at this place near me, and it’s like a rock music club, but for younger audiences. my sister knew someone who took that job in high school and she met a band there and they liked her, and they took her on tour to meet a bunch of famous people in the business. i’m not expecting this to happen, but i’d like to take the job just so i can hang out with other musicians, but still get the business end of music. i think i might have to work on some things first. i’m very shy, which i know isn’t helpful when you need to push your way around in the world of music. i don’t really let my spunkiness show, so i look plain, so i’m thinking i should take more risks. what other things would you suggest i work on to get the job? do you have any advice i could use? thanks.
