Answer by Hakit.
Its an archaic form of Agreement / Contract Document signed by the respective Parties to Construct a particular project.
It originated in France – and being so archaic – it requires regular updated appendixes etc to decipher what the Articles in it mean – and are to be construed to mean!
Its absolute rubbish & Major International consultant claim companies annually make a fortune out of it!
