Toshiba 80 GB Portable Hard Drive Issue: Unallocated?
I was downloading a video to my portable hard drive when all of a sudden my computer froze, i waited a lil bit for it to response, but it didn’t so i shut my computer off. When I turn on my computer my hard drive was not working, I went to Disk Management and my hard drive was UNALLOCATED, I then tryed to to initialized it, but it gave me an error # 45D@0200001A. I couldn’t find anything on the internet that was help full, i downloaded Acronics, and a couple other soft wares that were supposed to help me with this, but they didn’t. I have over 50GB of files ,pics, movie, and music. Is there any way I can get my files back, or if I can’t get em back how can i get my hard drive to work again.

I KNOW I CAN’T GET MY FILES BACK WITH OUT SPENDING ALLOT OF MONEY ON SOFTWARE. IS THERE A WAY TO MAKE MY HARD DRIVE WORK AGAIN EVEN IF I DONT GET MY FILES BACK?

you could try removing the drive from device manager, then plugging it in via USB and the computer should recognise it again, if that fails, you can remove it from it’s housing and install it as a slave drive in you PC and then you should be able to acess it

this is why you should always back up in at least 2 places, preferably 3 or more, then you can’t lose anything
