Q&A: Majoring in Music Business questions?

Question by laxgirl24: Majoring in Music Business questions?
Hi, I really want to be a music manager or supervisor. Should I go to business school first? Or go straight to Berklee’s music business?

Also would I have to audition with an instrument to get in for business? would I have to be as good as a musician trying out for Berklee to get in? It would be okay though , I play bassoon, and baritone saxophone.

Thanks so Much!Xx

You may as well just go to Berklee since the program is more focused on what you want to do.

You do need to audition just like anyone else applying, considering that anyone at Berklee can switch to a performance major if they want. Proficiency on your instrument is definitely important.
