Question by sasha: I am having trouble finding a job… could use some sound advise.?
Hello all,
I am having an issue with my resume… As far as my history I was a manager at a spa and now I am there part time. and before that I was a freelance fashion stylist…
I really don’t want to work in the spa industry any longer I would love to work for a fashion company.. what I believe what is happening is people see spa and toss the resume..I have the skill set, been on great interview and nothing… Here is a copy of my resume let me know what you think. I have committed names and numbers to protect myself. I am willing to take anything reception, what ever.. I need full time work.. but need people to see my resume first..

You have a great set of skills. Leave out the “areas of strength”. That is for the interviewer to determine.

Try to shorten this resume by 1/3. The most confident applicants always have the shortest resumes.

Offer to go on the local tv station’s morning show at 6am to talk about job hunting and about the fashion world. If you get on the show, you will get discovered.
