Question by coolkid: how can i prepare for a career in the music industry?
im a junior in high school and i want to get into the music business in promotions or artist management or something along those lines. I am liking into the OrangeHaus summer camp. Is there anything else I can do to prepare? What would be a major for these jobs in college? Sorry for all the questions if u can answer any i’d be appreciative!

Go to a university that has a music business major. Belmont University, Middle Tennessee State University, University of Chicago, etc. When you go to college, make sure you intern. That’s really the only way unless you have a friend that can get you a job. Most places hire from within and fill entry level positions with people that have interned with them or with friends of friends. While you are interning, you need to network and meet as many people as possible.
