What would be a better bet? Tunecore/IDJ First Look only distributes your music to iTunes, emusic, Rhapsody, its own store, etc. Plus, IDJ will have promotions for you if you sell well. CD Baby has many options of selling music such as CD’s, vinyl, online. And to add to that, they have many tools for you such as Sonicbids(to book shows), selling music in stores, Host Baby(your website), and taking credit cards at your shows. But that all comes with a price. Is having music more spread around better than having promotion by a major label? Can you use both?
