I’m going to be auditioning for American Idol this year. It will be my first time auditioning.
What is the audition proccess like? How long will the audition take, what are those who run the show looking for as far as image and style of music? Will there be any paper work other than the contract, and if there is a contract involved will I be able to have a lawyer look it over prior to signing it? Is there a specific age bracket the show’s producers are looking for?
basically any info about the audition proccess will help.

I am 22yrs. of age, female. 5ft. tall. By the time of the audition I’ll probably weight between 80LBs-100LBs.(Fast metabolism.)
My clothing style is bohemian and fairly casual.
My vocal style is somewhat Broadway, somewhat Rock/Pop.
I’m just auditioning maily for fun, but if I get on the show that’s great. I don’t sing as a career, just for fun. It would be cool if I could make it a successful career though.

You line up for auditions, you get in the studio….there is an audition process BEFORE you do the auditions infron of the judges on TV.

Its like…if your funny and good you make it.
David archuleta almost got cut from there….but LAST MINUTE he got accepted
