Poll: Should there be a law preventing minors from having record contracts?

Question by theunbreakable88: Poll: Should there be a law preventing minors from having record contracts?
It seems like with the rise of Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, and others that maybe it would be better if there was a law preventing minors from having record contracts. When they do it as a hobby, it usually doesn’t consume their entire lives, but when they are signed to a record label they are usually obligated to do albums and tours. I’ve heard that Bieber gets a 4.0 GPA, but his voice isn’t even completely finished yet. I heard a few months after My World 2.0 came out his voice got lower and now he can’t even sing the high notes in Baby. But other than that, I think it just robs them of their innocence, becoming overnight celebrities. Whatever happened to playing with a stick? Do kids even know what a stick is anymore?

Anyways, if I had a record label, I would allow minors to make albums but I would try to stop them from touring until they were out of school and I would only allow them to make albums during summer vacation so they can retain some normalcy in their lives, even if it’s just for their youthful years.
The stick thing is a George Carlin joke: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sISBcItCBM
