Where can I find info on this stuff? I’ve tried everywhere on the net

I need to know about the working patterns, like session, freelance, self-employed (how does it differ to freelance?), employed, professional and semi-professional.

Also need info on contracts like a Standard Musicians’ Contract – I can’t even find a basic description of what that is.

Look in the nonfiction section of your local library under 780.2 dewey decimal system and nearby numbers. There you will find books like “Million Dollar Mistakes” by Moses Avalon and “All You Need To Know About The Music Business” by Donald Passman.

Many colleges offer commercial music business classes.

Read trade magazines like “Mix” and the like…
