Music business?

My dad wants me to go to college so badly, and i dont have a problem with it. Somewhere deep inside me though i want to pursue a music career. I also have a fear of not making it and ending up like my mom(whom has three jobs:(..). I dont know what to do. Im afraid that if i do the music career, then my dad will disown me or something. He has his mind set, mainly probably because he didnt go to college. He got lucky and has a good job. I am so conflicted, i dont know what to do?
My dad wants me to be a doctor or something that makes a lot of money.

If you go to college theres a chance that youll have more time than ever to do your music. Colleges have great music facilities and you could easily get in a band. Even if you dont how old will you be when you leave 21 22 23?
Still loads of time to start a career in music.
Your right to be weary of getting stuck in a rut.
But theres no reason you cant do both. There are Lots of music related courses out there. Order some brochures and sit down with your dad.
Remeber if your gonna make it as a musician prepare to be poor for a while
Your gonna need support if your gonna do it
