Question by tots 🙂: Majors! Don’t know what to pick!!?
I’m a junior in high school and I’m trying to decide where to go what major to pick and such. At first I was going to pick Computer Engineering as my major but truthfully I am a geek but I don’t love computers. I’m so in love with music and I want to be a music producer or anything for that matter just to make it in the music industry I don’t even have to make it far. I was thinking music management and merchandising? I can fall back to it with an accounting major as well because they will make me take courses on that I looked on to it. And business with me is fine. Do you think you’d know any other majors to choose from.
So I should find a college that has internships available? And does anyone suggest any good colleges in either NY, NJ, or PA?

You’ve already picked your field, now think of what kind of tasks you’d like to do (merchandising is way different than audio production, for example). Go from there. You can get into almost any field with any degree, in general. To go into the music business, a general business or marketing degree would work out just fine. To work in the music industry, you need to get internship and work experience in that industry, it’s a very popular field and that’s how you’ll get your foot in the door.
