hosea only got a couple of shots before the usher told us no photos were allowed. we waited for half an hour for the opera – the audience was yelling & clapping towards the stage. eventually, a voice came over the sound system and said something we didn’t understand & everyone got up and left. we finally found someone that spoke a little english & she explained to us that the musicians contracts were up & they were protesting b/c talks were not going well. i was sad to miss the opera b/c it was what i was most looking forward to…but we got our money back at least & have an interesting story to tell, i guess.
