Dorman grad Manning’s film looks at veterans’ hard road to recovery
In 2004, K. Lorrel Manning was browsing through a bookstore when he made a discovery that eventually proved a life-altering moment. A book by Nina Berman called “Purple Hearts: Back From Iraq” caught the attention of the Dorman High School graduate and current New York resident, who was immediately struck by the stark collection of essays and photos.
