The Weston Board of Selectmen discussed the following items at its regular meeting on Thursday, April 14. DPW contract The selectmen voted unanimously to accept a new labor contract between the town and the Weston Highway Employees Union Local 1303-41 of CT Council 4 AFSCME AFL-CIO, for the period July 1, 2010, through June 30, 2013.

NFL labor case comes to St. Louis
A three-judge panel in the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in St. Louis has been established and is considering the National Football League’s request for a stay of a district judge’s ruling that ended the six-week lockout of its players.

NFL opens its doors to players again
MINNEAPOLIS – Finally, the NFL is getting back to football. Five days after a federal judge declared the lockout illegal and nearly seven weeks after it began, the NFL said players can talk with coaches, work out at team headquarters, and look at their playbooks.
