I am considering buying a house on contract. What is a typical agreement for this situation?
Question by Arzosin: I am considering buying a house on contract. What is a typical agreement for this situation?
We are signing a six-month lease to rent it, and after the six months, if things are satisfactory to us and the owner, we will discuss buying it on contract. I would like to know what sort of standard contracts are written up when that happens.

What is acceptable in a contract varies a great deal from state to state. I’d contact a local attorney who works in real estate and get them to draft a buyer friendly contract. I had an attorney draw one up for me and he charged $ 175. My contract was a little on the seller friendly side.
Good luck.
