How come contestants who make it through to American Idol (top 13) have to abandon their myspace?

Question by Chelsea: How come contestants who make it through to American Idol (top 13) have to abandon their myspace?
I’ved noticed that contestants actual myspaces (such as their music space, personal space, ect…) from this season and other season’s all become abandoned, they all have the same thing in their headline “Thank you for supporting me! Vote for me on FOX every tuesday!” and thats it. Do the American Idol producers make them stop posting anything on line and turn all their myspaces private?
It’s just a silly question I was wondering, seems kind of unfair to make them do so.

I do not know for sure

If I had to guess
I heard that Adam had pictures of him kissing a guy

On the show, they can not tell people if they are gay or not
They do not want people to vote or not to vote for someone for that reason. They sign contract stating they will not state that

They only can talk about spouses

That would be my guess

I really do not care if he is or not
I would still think he is very strange
