My business partner and I just completed our music website. it’s a website to sell beats. I just need some solid advice on how to get traffic to it, mainly artists and people in the music business. I need a solid plan to promote and attracted prospective customers to the site. thank you for you help

In general internet marketing is internet marketing. There are no special ways of selling music – besides that you should targeted people interested in what you’re offering. Always go for targeted visitors.

One option is to buy traffic or advertising.

If you’re going for free options, here’s a few tips:

– Forums: Be active in relevant forums and establish yourself as an “expert” (why not try the same for yahoo answers?) Go to big-boards.com and find a few relevant forums where you set up your profile and post messages. Make sure to add your links in the signature box.

– Write and submit articles to the article directories (for instance: articlesbase.com)

– Leave comments on other people’s blogs with a backlink to your site.

– Write a press release and submit it to http://www.prweb.com/.

– Advertise your website in the appropriate category on http://www.craigslist.com/.
