I just started school again, and I’m taking Higher English, but I really want to drop it and take Business Management or Music instead. What would be the best way to inform my teacher, or the Principal Teacher of English, that I want to drop English?

Go talk to your guidance counselor. They usually are the ones in charge of schedules and classes. Ask for an appointment and see if you can switch into Business Management or Music instead of Higher English.
If your school started already, I don’t think they’ll let you change though unless you give them a really good reason. You should decide exactly what you want or change courses during the summer, that way they’ll have time to fix your schedule and not have to do it at the last minute.
