Korduletsch was the owner of an up and coming label, Lollipop Records. He convinced Claudja that she should record with him and signed her immediately to a contract. They cut five sides that Korduletsch co-wrote with Jorg Evers. The result was Barry’s 1977 debut album “Sweet Dynamite.” Thanks to 12″ singles, the title track and “Dance, Dance, Dance” were top ten club smashes and made the album an international hit and an essential disco classic. In 1978 she released a more diverse album called Claudja. By 1979 Claudja had become a recognizable club name. Jürgen had decided to release the next album on his own Lollipop Records. After the first single “I Wanna Be Loved By You” , the second single “Boogie Woogie Dancin’ Shoes” was fast becoming an import hit. When Chrysalis bought the rights they re-released a part of the album, retitled “Boogie Woogie Dancin’ Shoes” The album is viewed as her most commercially successful thanks to the number one title track hit. A second release of 1980 for Chrysalis “Feel The Fire” did produce the 12″ single “You Make Me Feel The Fire” which did enjoy a fair amount of club play. The album had a more rock oriented sound, possibly due to Chrysalis’ trend at rock and punk releases, or the fact that “disco” seemed to be dying. Her next batch of sessions came out on
