Question by : Can you you get sick from or contract a disease from touching a band aid on the street?
A friends child was at the park playing when he found a band aid and started playing with it. It was obviously used, the padded portion was stained with blood, and the mother started worrying that something might be transmitted from that band aid to her child. Her son has no open wounds, but she worries that it may have been transmitted from eye rubbing or his mouth. Is there reason to worry or go get him tested?

It could have given him something, and she might want to keep an eye out to see if he seems to be feeling sick in any way. If it were me, the first sign of anything and I’d take him to a doctor.
