I am auditioning for “Cabaret” this summer, and although it is a local production company, the competition is tight! I really need to have a great audition, and I’m having trouble finding a perfect song choice! I’m really striving for the role of Sally Bowles. I am 19 years old, and am used to singing songs in a higher range. For example, I’ve played Dorothy in “The Wizard of Oz”, Anna in “The King and I”, Marian Paroo in “The Music Man” and Sandy in “Grease”. I would seriously appreciate any suggestions! 🙂 Thanks so much!

I’m not too familiar with the musical “Cabaret”, so I can’t help you directly – but I’d advise you to do some reading into Sally Bowles, see what her personality is like and use that to choose the perfect audition song.

Is she sassy? Find a song that includes that, while making the very best of your vocal ability.
