A Silent Express – Get This Right [HD]

A Silent Express is een jonge wave-georiënteerde rockband uit het noorden van NL. De band tekende een contract bij Fortress Music en U-Sonic Records, won al de publieksprijs in de Grote Prijs Van Nederland, stond op Eurosonic en bracht in 2008 hun plaat ‘Get This Right’ uit. De band kreeg afgelopen jaar veel exposure op verscheidene radio- en tv-stations zoals 3FM, KinkFM, Club3voor12 & VPRO, 100% NL, TMF en talrijke lokale zenders. Momenteel toert A Silent Express door Nederland om zoveel mogelijk publiek aan zich te binden.

Lady Be Good Dutch Swing College/Teddy Wilson 1976 In 1977 in Toronto we were very lucky to find out that The Dutch Swing College would go on a tour through Canada and Arie Ligthart, former banjoist with the band, but then their manager, phoned me and asked if we would be able to organize something. We had started a long term contract in DJ’s Tavern in the brand new hydro building and we were able to set up three nights with the DSC and our own Climax JB in a double feature event. The room holds 330 people and each night we had a sell out with standing room only. The band you see here is just that band, playing the year before in a concert in Austria which also featured famous pianist Teddy Wilson. In the band are leader Peter Schilperoort clarinet, Bert de Kort on cornet, Bob Kaper alto sax, Dick Kaart trombone, Jaaap van Kempen guitar, Henk Bosch van Drakensteyn bass and Huub Janssen drums. Today, some thirty years later, Bob Kaper is their leader and after an absense for a number of years Bert de Kort is back in the band as well.
