A tribute to Dan Carter. Daniel William “Dan” Carter (born 5 March 1982 in Southbridge, near Christchurch[2]) is a New Zealand professional Rugby union player. In the 2009 northern hemisphere winter he played for USA Perpignan in the French Top 14 competition. In the 2nd half of 2009 he returned to New Zealand to play provincial rugby for Canterbury and the Crusaders in the 2010 Super 14 season. He is currently 1st on the all time List of leading Rugby union Test point scorers and 1st on the list of top Super rugby point scorers. He attended Ellesmere College and Christchurch Boys High School.Along with Richie McCaw Carter earns 750000 NZD a year being the joint highest paid player in New Zealand. This high paying contract by the New Zealand Rugby Union is not subject to form or fitness as both players are regarded integral to the All Blacks 2011 Rugby World Cup plans.
