Wage freeze at my job, what do I do? ?

Question by CJ&Drewsmomma: Wage freeze at my job, what do I do? ?
I’ve been with this company since April 2006. I have been promoted once, and received 2 pay raises since I’ve been here (my 2 yearly reviews) – when my yearly review came up today my supervisor told me that there was a wage freeze for 2008 and those first in line would receive theirs firs, going by seniority, and of course the amount of time it’s been since they got their last raise.
Here’s the thing – I don’t make boo koo bucks, I’m just a CS rep. at a small music publishing company and my husband is currently laid off work. I’m 3 months preggers and coud REALLY use the extra $ $ I’m SUPOSSED to be getting. My supervisor informed me just now that NO back pay will be given, and my next raise could be next December (09″) but could be April of 2010.
Question is, what the heck am I to do? do i stay and continue to be completely stressed every day, be over worked and underpaid or do I look for something else and be honest with my boss and tell her I Can’t afford to do the work I do for the pay I get??
I’m just worried that I won;t be able to find anything else being I’m 3 months preggers. what do you all think???
KK – I didn’t say I was owed a raise because I was pregnant. We get YEARLY raises, and since my last raise my workload has tripled. It has nothing to do with being pregnant – I deserve my raise, just as everyone else does – that was wuite rude.
and just to clarify (which I did, but some people can’t read!!) – our reviews/pay raises are yearly. We only get .40 a year. My review was actually 2 weeks ago and when it never came up I e-mailed my supervisor and she asked me to have a meeting with her.
I’m upset due to the fact that my workload since my last raise has tripled, and now I’m being told I don’t get any extra compensation. With my background in Accounting I could easily find another job making 3 x’s what i do now………
I don’t have insurance, and no maternity pay either.
Also, my husband HAS a job, just with a company that has temp. laid off some workers – he’s due to go back January 19th. Everybody keeps saying stay for the insurance but I have medicaid, not work insurance.

keep the job as you need the insurance and your hubby has to get employed before you can think about quitting
