Question by J J: would you recommend buying the nokia n8?
would you recommend buying the nokia n8? it is avaliable on t-mobile 24 month contract for £27 a month with 300 minutes and texts free is that a good deal? plus how is the music player and can you import your songs from itunes onto it? would it be worth buying the more expensive htc desire or iphone 4?

That deal seams good as long as the phone is free. my dad has an n8 and have the iPhone 4. the music player on the n8 is very average it simply cannot compete with the iPhone because the sound quality on the iPhone is amazing and the music on iTunes is brilliant quality,

Both phones can be digital camera replacements i.e. you use them as your main camera. the n8 camera is allitle better when you see the photos on a computer but it is overrated.

the screens on both phones are good but i prefer the iPhone 4’s it feels better and the screen is sharper, has better viewing angles and in sunlight is clearer. the n8 does however have a hdmi to connect to a TV but you can also connect an iPhone to a TV.

in terms of usability the iPhone is far easy iOs is very intuitive and very easy to use it is also very fast.

the looks are something for you to decide depends on what phone look you prefer but the n8 is very bulky compared to the iPhone. the iPhone also seems to have a wider range of accessories there are cases such as otter box which offer extreme protection.

on the iPhone a recent update has made the ‘find my iPhone’ feature free basically what this does is track the phone. say it gets stolen on your computer you can locate the phone, lock it, wipe the memory, play a loud sound on it ( which could be handy if you lose it) or send messages to it. i have had a look at the apps on both phones and again the n8 cant compete with the iPhone’s app the developers gave up after the failure of ngage.

sorry but i dont know that much on the htc so i cant advise you on that but htc is well worth a look.

overall i think the iPhone is much better than the n8 and there is some pretty cool stuff coming up in the updates on the iPhone. however in the end its all about what you think after all it is going to be your phone so go to the Apple store and try the iPhone 4 and do the same with the n8. try both phones and see what you prefer.

good luck in choosing your phone
