is a contract for deed considered an actual sale of the property?
Published February 16, 2011
Question by Stephanie: is a contract for deed considered an actual sale of the property?
im looking into a contract for deed right now. The owner received the property through an estate and if a contract for deed is not considered a sale she will have to pay the 25,000 dollar income tax. and therefore will not do the contract…so i need to know if it will be a sale of the property.

This is not a question for YA. You need to ask a real estate attorney. You don’t know who’s answer you can trust on YA.
