I want to be a singer and i’m trying to do anything i can that doesn’t take her approval (which isn’t much besides practice). What can i do to show her it’ll take a while before any extremes would happen so i’d have plenty of time to prepare myself. She won’t even let me license my music. WHAT CAN I DO TO CONVINCE HER TO AT LEAST LET ME START TAKING LESSONS TO IMPROVE MY VOICE THEN AFTER A LITTLE WHILE LET ME LISCEN THE SONGS I WRITE, AND THEN START SENDING MY MUSIC IN TO RECORD COMPANIES. i have the mailing address to the record company i’m interested in. Oh yeah i already babysit so please don’t mention that. thanks.

your mom is just looking out for your best interest. it is so hard to get into the music industry, she probably doesnt want to see you get hurt. maybe you should find something to do that will make her happy and have your singing career on the side, like a hobby. tell her that you dont want to make a career out of it you just want to be able to do something that you love to do on the side. while knowing that it actually is what you want to do as a career. just dont tell her that. good luck
