Students Create a Vision of the Future
Immaculate Conception School in East Aurora participated in the Western New York Regional Future City Competition at Mount St. Mary Academy in Kenmore on Jan. 22. As part of National Engineers Week, the Future City Competition helps sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders discover and foster interests in math, science and engineering, as they design and build cities of the future.

Wales Board Accepts Bid for Water Tank
The Wales Town Board voted Jan. 4 to accept the low bid of $ 1,875 from Strykersville Hardware for a new hot water tank for the Town Hall on Big Tree Road/Route 20A .Two bids were received under the town’s amended procurement policy, with Town Supervisor Rickey A. Venditti saying that the purchase was a budgeted item.
