Do you think my parent’s are too harsh and don’t give me anything?

Question by p norm: Do you think my parent’s are too harsh and don’t give me anything?
I get £8.50 a week from my paper round so I try. I’m 15 years old and my mum and dad are paying off an online debt I ran up by accident and have taken my pocket money for a year from now I think. I haven’t got an mp3 player, a phone, a laptop, an hdtv, a transportable dvd player, they don’t pay for my clothes and they don’t let me borrow money from them whatsoever and they expect me to live off of £8.50/week. I don’t even have Sky or any subscription-esque things. I only have freeview and a crappy TV that flickers on and off because the scart plug is so old and wrecked. Whereas they buy themselves all sorts of new things like tumbledriers and dishwashers and necklaces and new TVs and they say if mine breaks they won’t replace it I’ll just have to make do by reading books that I don’t have. They won’t buy me DVDs or Music CDs. Everyone always says I should count myself lucky because I live in a good town and a very safe place but I get jack shit. Are they too harsh on me or is it like that for every teenager? Cuz i swear all my friends have hdtvs in their rooms, laptops, iPod touches, awesome phones that they get their parents to pay their contracts for and they hv massive pocket moneys, their parents always let them borrow money as well.. >:(

depends how big this online debt was? if it was huge then i can understand were they are coming from. But it seems a little harsh that they wont buy you clothes. maybe you should offer to jobs around the house in exchange for money?
