Need ideas for a story!

I need a plot idea that starts out with a question that can go either way, and the different options are life-changing.

Ex: A girl wants to make it big in the music industry and when she finally is offered a contract, it is not the one she wanted. Does she take it or not? Yes or no? Either way would be big changes for her.

Kind of like that. Thanks! And the question doesn’t have to be yes or no, but there needs to be options, all of them being big.
