Alexandra Burke The Xfactor?

Question by indistress.damsel: Alexandra Burke The Xfactor?
Now don`t get me wrong. I personally think that Alexandra Burke has an astonishing voice for a such a young age, and could be a potential winner for this years` Xfactor. However, doesn`t the fact that her mother is a famous singer ( the lead singer of the 2 time Grammy winning band Soul II Soul) makes it a little unfair? It should be against the rules of the show for her to participate because of her mother`s fame.

Her mother is a professional artist who has had a hit and worked with the likes of Stevie Wonder and has a 5 octave voice. Alexandra Burke does not need to sing on the Xfactor because she can easily get a recording contract through her mothers` contacts in the music industry. So why don`t they give the other contestants a break?

Due to the fact that Alexandra is raised vocally by a proffessional, shouldn`t she be kicked off the show? The others on the show are not as good as her , but let`s face it , they have not been raised by a chart-topping vocalist with a 5 octave range.

I dont think somebody should be kicked off the show just because their mother is already a singer. I dont think it is unfair because she was the one who autitioned, not her mother. Maybe she would like to try and get a record deal with her voice rather than just off of her mothers contacts…
But thats just my opinion…
