Warriors – Genocide

Warriors are an old serbian (former yugoslavian) heavy metal band of early 80’s and one of the best of this time and ever. Since i cannot find any video clip of them i made it by myself. Their music is music of my good moments in my life. I chosen the song ”Genocide” from their first LP ”Warriors” released in 1983. So, feel free to give some comment. Greetings The band was formed in 1982 by vocalist Dušan Nikolić and Riblja Čorba drummer Vicko Milatović. Rest of the members were guitarist Dragan Deletić, guitarist Zoran Konjević and bass guitarist Slobodan Svrdlan (a former Gordi member). The original idea was for Ratnici to record demo material with lyrics written in both English and Serbian. Songs with Serbian language lyrics were not recorded due to Milatović’s army obligations. As Konjević spent some time in Toronto, he suggested to take the band to Canada. After Konjević made a deal with Canadian manager Wayne Thompson, who worked with him in Toronto from 1978 until 1980, the band started working on songs with English language lyrics. Prior to Canadian guitarist Douglas Platt replacing Deletić, band in its original lineup recorded EP Ratnici – Warriors with two songs sung in Serbian and two in English. Soon afterwards the band changed the name to Warriors and released self-titled album Warriors. After signing the contract with Attic Records, the band, without Milatović, went to Canada. With the new drummer Lawrence Gretsch they recorded the second self-titled
