Westminster University, London. Music Business MA …Is this a good or a rip off

Question by SOG: Westminster University, London. Music Business MA …Is this a good or a rip off
Has anyone done this Masters Program?

I can’t find any info or comments on the net other than their website, which I also notice has not been updated for several years.

Its a very expensive course ££££, I’m concerned its just a con for cash, especially as I was interviewed over the phone and got an unconditional offer.

Does anyone know.??

You mean University of Westminster, in London, correct? They are a genuine university, but certainly not one of the best in London or in the UK. They are ranked overall around 91 out of about 113 unis in the UK. So kind of at the bottom of most league tables, but a genuine university.

This is a resource that I really like. It gives really solid info on UK universities, and this is the page specific to this uni:

Click through the various links, and you can learn a lot.

And here is a rankings list of all UK universities, which may also be useful to you:

Are you in the US now? Relatively quick admission in the UK is not abnormal. That’s because in the UK, they admit you solely based on your academic and on that interview, while in the US, they take into consideration extra curriculars and etc. Basically, in the UK, you either qualify or you don’t. In the US, maybe you do, maybe you don’t, depending on a zillion factors.

But still, being offered an instant spot is unusual. But this isn’t the most competitive university, and I’m sure that factored in.
