..yes, they promote the songs. Get them played so people hear them.
Ever listen to an album that was just okay but after 5 or 6 times you know all the words and the tune sticks with you??? Of course they have a lot to do with getting songs out there… perfect example is Loretta Lynn. Her hubby pushed the songs and she became a star.
