I read this about filming in plpaces where privacy is expected
“The motivation for covert video monitoring can make otherwise valid covert video monitoring in public areas illegal, or otherwise invalid covert video monitoring in private areas permissible. While there is wide latitude to covertly monitor in many settings, the covert video monitoring must not be done for an illegitimate reason. For example, the covert video monitoring cannot be for socially repugnant reasons, such as to harass, blackmail, or appeal to prurient interests. (Hernandez v. Hillsides, 47 Cal. 4th 272, 211 P.3d 1063 (Cal. 2009), California Penal Code § 647(j)). If the covert video monitoring is done for this type of reason, the covert monitor will face both criminal and civil liability. In contrast, covert video monitoring done for clearly legitimate reasons, such as to prevent or prove child abuse, sexual assault and elder abuse would not run afoul of criminal or civil law even if the covert video monitoring occurs in an area where there is an otherwise reasonable expectation of privacy”
So, if scientists contact a parent, and they install hidden cameras in their adult sons bedroom/bathroom,all over the house,town,friends houses,friends bathrooms etc, making a tv show that involved heavy esp research would this be allowed to film them in private places?For instance, the tv show would contain information about, how esp would be made available to the public in awhile,how you can get into a persons mind,and automaticly program their every move (completely taking control over a persons life without their knowledge)demonstrating all sorts of points like, “we have this super technology and wars are still going on, gangs are still around etc, we need to change for everyones own saftey.” All sorts of stuff, how we will be able to travel time easily (which has already been proven).
Idk if you have ever heard of songs talking about “The revolution” or “I heard it said that the revolution will be televised” etc.This is the show im talking about.Ushering the world into a new era.Would this be allowed without the person being filmeds consent?Or would it have to be while he is a minor?
For instance, do they 100% no way around it HAVE to have the now 18 year old sign a contract for the tv show, or could the consent his parents signed when he was a minor last until he was over 18?
Tennessee is a one part consent state to video recording, does that mean they need his consent or anyone appearing on the video (parents) can consent to it, even though they film him by himself in his room.
Would this be allowed by the article mentioned above when it comes to filming in places where there is reasonable expectation of privacy?Would this fall under misappropriation or commercial misappropriation?Seems how they would be using a live video of a guy without his knowledge or consent, even if it is a non-profit show they could be using it to get publicity or other forms of success.Basically is there anyway this would be illegal?

if this were going on, would that be motivation enough to put hidden cameras in places of expected privacy, seems how a lot of it would have to do with public saftey/national security?
