Film producer Steve Nguyen profiles Carl Choi, an American entrepreneur, producer, and talent manager heralded as a pioneer for Asian American representation in the media. Choi graduated from the University of Southern California, Marshall School Of Business. He has held senior positions with Andersen Business Consulting and Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. He is currently the CEO and co-founder of Plan C Group, Inc. As the brainchild behind the company, Carl is responsible for Plan C’s many years of consistent and multi-dimensional growth. Under Choi’s leadership and vision, the company bridges entertainment and niche markets to create the premiere Asian American lifestyle. As CEO of Plan C Group, Choi has been a key player in the company’s accomplishments and growth. Choi’s emphasis on strategic business planning has been the driving force for other co-founding companies such as Catch Music Group, i5 Studio Consulting, DjCity.com and the REHAB projects hip-hop lifestyle store that was a holding zone for the late Scratch DJ Academy. Choi manages a well-known Asian American music group in the United States called Far east Movement and has a business management relationship with Jin an artist that inspired millions by winning the BET 106 & Park freestyle battle 7 weeks in a row. With Jin and subsequent hip hop group, the Far*East Movement, Choi was able to successfully launch CMG. He has also dabbed his hands into a couple films, helping produce films such as a 2007 Sundance
